About Me

My passion for psychology began when I was 16 years old and has led me to constantly seek learning and experience.
I soon realized that the person who comes to therapy counseling is not just an individual with their problems — it's a story, a family, a context, a culture, dreams, and expectations, both personal and external.
I understood that no single theory or approach is universally applicable to all individuals or situations. I decided to explore and learn from different theories and perspectives, evolving from Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy towards a more integrative approach grounded in the Systemic Psychology paradigm and Attachment Therapy.
As a lifelong learner, I am passionate about multiculturality and diversity. My goal is to help individuals and couples navigate the complexity of their relationships, overcome crisis and mental health struggles, and ultimately live meaningfully.
Solve Your Doubts
The most essential differences lie in the training and the nature of addressing psychological issues:
-
A psychiatrist has studied a Medicine Degree with a specialization in Psychiatry and addresses mental illnesses from an organic and physiological perspective.
-
The psychologist has studied Psychology, specializing in clinical or mental health, and works with the patient to achieve emotional and psychological well-being, taking into account socio-cultural factors and other intra and interpersonal variables that influence their psychological well-being. They do not prescribe medication; that is the exclusive task of a psychiatrist.
